Paris Saint-Germain have officially announced the signing of Argentine forward, Lionel Mession a two-year deal as a free agent for €25m.

The club announces Messi, 34, will wear the number 30, the number he had when he began his professional career at Barcelona between 2004-2006.

In a statement released on the club's website, Messi said "I am excited to begin a new chapter of my career at Paris Saint-Germain."

Upon his arrival to Paris today, fans were gathered outside the club's Parc des Princes stadium and outside a plush hotel in the city where he and his family are expected to be staying.
