UNEC STUDENT, EMILY RETURNS HOME BARELY 24 HOURS AFTER SHE WAS REPORTED MISSING

Miss Maduka Chinonso Emily a student of Human Physiology in the University Of Nigeria, Enugu Campus popurlary known as UNEC was reported missing by her room mate on the morning of Sunday the 11th of July (yesterday) when she failed to comeback from where she went to after she was last seen in the hostel making away with two laptops in a hurry after she had earlier come back from Church.

Miss Emily hails from Abia State and resides in Enugu with her family. News reaching us claimed she recieved a strange phone call.

Her mother was said to have called and heard a masculine voice perhaps of that of her abductor at the background.

She never returned up until noon today (12th July). She was said to be looking hallucinated and was about grabbing other stuff to take out before she was compelled by her friends to sit. "She seemed very bamboozled and confused as though she was under some kind of spell" said one of her room mates. Perhaps, she couldn't recall what she was doing and never knew she was reported missing either.

As at the time of this report, Emily was said to still be recuperating from the oredeal and could not makeout much as to other events that may have transpired between the time of her disappearance and when she came back. She is currently with her family.

However, these series of events could be surmised to be that she was under a spell from her abductor with which he was using to control her.

All these events are coming on the pedal of the high level of insecurity in the state coupled with the PRO-END SARS period of police brutality.

The spate of crimes and assassinations going on in Enugu has begun to take another toll on the residents. A week ago, the assassination of a professor and his aides took place around Centenary Estate entrance; barely days after that, a certain popular auto mogul at Gariki was also assassinated. Robbing of POS stands have become a broad day light affair. Snatching of phones and bags at Abakpa Nike and Ogbete is just the least of the numerous crimes currently being perpetrated in the state.

The Commisioner of police, Mr Abubakar Adamu Mohammed needs to beef up security in the state because safety in the state now is an intermittent affair.

Enugu is in the Hands of God indeed.
