Enugu is a city derived from the two Igbo words Énú Ủgwú meaning "hill top" denoting the city's hilly geography.
042 Signifies
Enugu State has 042 code as a fond moniker, which quickly became adopted among the young and youthful population of the city after a certain indigenous rapper popularized it in one of his songs, thereby taking a cue from Pop Culture and Hip Hop communities in the U.S where the area codes became a nick name for the city.
O42 is the NITEL Telephone Area Code for Enugu State - Enugu's local dialling code, years ago when landline were still in use.

Enugu's 2021 population is now estimated at 795,271. In 1950, the population of Enugu was 59,663. Enugu has grown by 22,399 since 2015, which represents a 2.90% annual change.

Milliken Hill Road
Milliken Hill is a famous tourist attraction in the beautiful city of Enugu, it's located at Ngwo, a village on the outskirt of Enugu City. Milliken hill road is a natural roller coaster, they are 100 meters above sea level, offering a beautiful standpoint for a panoramic view of Enugu metropolis, especially at dawn and dusk.
It's an ancient, historic and undulating road, modernized with streetlights and other safety measures by Governor Ugwuanyi's administration. It's a tourist attraction and serves as an alternative gateway into the city of Enugu from Onitsha-Enugu expressway.
What more can I say about Enugu, other than it's BEAUTIFUL and a very peaceful State.
This is the place I call home! Its situated in the heart of the hills. Her rolling hills makes her unique Enugu (top of the hill) Amaka (it's beautiful), I'm not exaggerating, best believe that. I prefer living without that heartache of congestion. Look up at the hills, smile and chase the light.
