Time changed to 1pm ET for ALCS clash at progressive field...

The start time for Game 3 of the American League Championship Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Guardians has been brought forward by five hours because of the local weather forecast.

Major League Baseball has confirmed the game will now begin at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time (19:00 CET).

“The change, which is based on forecasted rain on Thursday night in Cleveland, is being made proactively in order to remain on schedule in the ALCS,” Major League Baseball said in a statement.

Games three, four and five of the series are set to be played at Progressive Field in Cleveland on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The series would return to Tropicana Field for games six and seven if required. Tampa Bay fought back to tie the series at 1-1 with a 3-1 win on Tuesday, as starting pitcher Freddy Peralta delivered a personal postseason-best performance of six shutout innings.

The series is now level at one game apiece.

Elsewhere, Game 4 of the National League Championship Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers has also been rescheduled to 8:00 p.m. Eastern on Thursday due to weather concerns.

Game 3 of that National League series is set for tonight, with Milwaukee holding a 2-0 lead in the series.
