Serena Williams will return to US Open competition with Carlos Alcaraz in mixed doubles. The 6-time US Open champion last won mixed doubles in New York in 1998.
Serena Williams will make a competitive comeback at the US Open, teaming up with defending men’s champion Carlos Alcaraz in mixed doubles. The pair were given a wildcard entry, tournament organisers announced on Saturday.
It marks Williams’ first competitive match at Flushing Meadows since 2022. The American, a 23-time Grand Slam singles champion and 6-time US Open winner, previously claimed the mixed doubles title here in 1998 with Max Mirnyi.

World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka will team up with Novak Djokovic, while Jessica Pegula and Taylor Fritz will form an all-American pairing in the mixed doubles.
