Heidenheim picked up their first-ever point at the Allianz Arena, but it felt like a loss after conceding an own goal in stoppage time that forced a 3-3 draw with Bayern Munich.
Vincent Kompany rotated heavily, making seven changes from the side that faced PSG midweek with the Champions League semi-final second leg in mind. Even with a reshuffled lineup, Bayern dominated possession against a Heidenheim team fighting to avoid relegation.
Bayern Munich offered little in attack and managed only long-range efforts. Leon Goretzka’s shot was comfortably saved by Diant Ramaj, and Hiroki Ito pulled his attempt wide of the target.
Heidenheim focused on getting crosses into the box and took the lead in the 22nd minute. After a poor clearance from a corner, Marnon Busch looped the ball back in and Budu Zivzivadze got a touch to steer it past Jonas Urbig.
The visitors stayed on the front foot, with Eren Dinkçi narrowly missing with one shot before latching onto another perfectly weighted Busch pass. He ran behind Jonathan Tah, poked the ball past Urbig, and rolled it into the net to make it 2-0. Bayern pulled one back before half-time when Goretzka curled a free-kick into the top corner.
Bayern signaled their intent at half-time by bringing on Harry Kane, Luis Díaz, Michael Olise, and Joshua Kimmich.
Kane immediately set up Nicolas Jackson with a precise pass, but Diant Ramaj matched it with a fine save. Moments later, Marnon Busch cleared Kim Min-jae’s effort off the line to keep Heidenheim ahead.
The hosts finally broke through again in the 58th minute when Leon Goretzka converted Olise’s corner. Olise then curled one just wide, and Kimmich rattled the post with a strike that looked destined for the net. At the other end, Jonas Urbig produced a point-blank stop to deny Eren Dinkci.
Bayern kept pressing, but Luis Díaz’s effort flashed past the post. With 15 minutes left, Heidenheim stunned the Allianz Arena as Budu Zivzivadze drove into the box, cut inside Olise, and finished into the top corner with a strike worthy of the French winger himself.

Heidenheim’s hopes were crushed in the 100th minute when Michael Olise’s shot hit the post and rebounded in off Diant Ramaj’s back to make it 3-3.
The point extends Heidenheim’s run to one loss in six games, but it leaves them three points adrift of St. Pauli, who play Sunday and sit in the relegation play-off spot. Bayern, meanwhile, have now lost just once in their last 21 matches across all competitions.
