83 combined saves from Oettinger and Wallstedt, but Matt Boldy’s overtime goal gives Wild 3-2 win over Stars. Series now 2-2...
Matt Boldy scored the overtime winner as the Minnesota Wild beat the Dallas Stars 3-2 in Game 4 on Saturday to tie the series 2-2.
The goal was Boldy’s third of the playoffs. The series now shifts back to Dallas for Game 5 on April 28.
Both goaltenders were outstanding, with Jake Oettinger stopping 42 for Dallas and Jesper Wallstedt making 41 saves for Minnesota - a combined 83.
The winner came shortly after Oettinger made a stunning save on Boldy to keep Dallas alive. Boldy had already put one past him earlier in overtime, but it was waved off for a clear kick-in.
Early Power Play Punishes Wild
Ryan Hartman took the game’s first penalty for goaltender interference just five minutes in, putting Dallas on the power play. The Stars wasted no time capitalizing.
Robertson Makes Franchise History
Jason Robertson stayed red-hot, scoring his fourth goal of the series to give Dallas a 1-0 lead one minute into the man advantage. Matt Duchene and Mikko Rantanen picked up the assists.
Robertson became just the second player in franchise history to score in four straight games to open a playoff series, joining Steve Payne from 1981.

Faber Answers For Minnesota
Minnesota failed to convert on three first-period power plays but still found an equalizer with under five minutes left.
Brock Faber netted his third goal of the series to make it 1-1, becoming the first defenseman in Wild history with three or more goals in a playoff series.
Momentum Shifts After First
Kirill Kaprizov earned his fourth assist of the series. Minnesota headed to the second up 14-11 in shots, but that momentum would swing dramatically in the next period.

The Wild took just one penalty in the second period, but the Stars made them pay on the power play again.
Miro Heiskanen scored his first of the series and 18th career playoff goal, extending his franchise record for most postseason goals by a defenseman to put Dallas up 2-1.
Matt Duchene and Mikko Rantanen added the assists, giving the Stars duo nine combined helpers this series. It was Dallas’ eighth power-play goal of the playoffs - the most of any team.

Minnesota had another power-play chance in the second but couldn’t beat Oettinger, who stood tall in net.
Dallas dominated the second period with a 17-5 shot advantage. But Minnesota wouldn’t stay quiet in front of the home crowd in the third.
Marcus Foligno picked the perfect moment for his first goal of the playoffs and sixth of his career, tying the game 2-2 with 5:20 left.
Brock Faber added his second assist of the playoffs on the goal, while Nico Sturm recorded his first.
Then Boldy delivered the overtime winner to seal Game 4 for the Wild, sending the series back to Dallas tied 2-2.
