Chelsea secured a spot in the UEFA Conference League semi-finals despite losing 2-1 to Legia Warsaw at Stamford Bridge, thanks to a 4-2 aggregate victory. The Blues had a strong starting lineup, including Cole Palmer, Nicolas Jackson, Marc Cucurella, and Reece James, and created early chances, but Legia took the lead with a penalty converted by Tomas Pekhart after Filip Jorgensen fouled him in the box.

Chelsea struggled to find an equalizer, but Legia extended their lead in the second half. Despite the loss, Chelsea's aggregate score ensured their progression to the semi-finals, where they will face a new challenge in the competition. The win marked a significant milestone for Chelsea in the Conference League.

After taking the lead, Legia gained confidence and nearly doubled their advantage when Ryoya Morishita's shot narrowly missed the post. Chelsea improved as the game went on and leveled the score shortly after the half-hour mark when Marc Cucurella tapped home. However, the Blues were denied a turnaround when Cucurella's follow-up finish was ruled out for offside.

Legia regained their lead when Steve Kapuadi headed in a corner from inside the six-yard box, restoring their advantage in the match, though not enough to change the aggregate score in their favor.

The goal sparked Chelsea into action, with Jadon Sancho forcing Legia goalkeeper Vladan Kovacevic into a save, and substitutes Noni Madueke and Tyrique George having efforts cleared off the line, keeping Legia's lead intact. Despite the loss, Chelsea remain on track for silverware and could become the first club to win all three major UEFA club tournaments.

Legia, on the other hand, can take pride in their European campaign, having won on English soil for the first time ever, even if their journey has come to an end.
