2024 MLS Best XI Revealed: Messi, Alba, and Hernandez Among Top Honorees

Inter Miami's Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba were named to the 2024 MLS Best XI, representing the Supporters' Shield winners. Messi, 37, and Alba, 35, played pivotal roles in Inter Miami's successful season.

The Columbus Crew, 2024 Leagues Cup champions, also had two players selected: forward Cucho Hernandez and MLS Defender of the Year Steven Moreira. This recognition highlights the Crew's impressive performance in the Leagues Cup and their contributions to the league's elite talent.

The forward line is comprised of esteemed players, including Golden Boot winner Christian Benteke of DC United, Los Angeles FC's Denis Bouanga, Inter Miami's Lionel Messi, and Columbus Crew's Cucho Hernandez.

The midfield trio consists of Luciano Acosta from FC Cincinnati, Evander of the Portland Timbers, and Riqui Puig from the Los Angeles Galaxy. These players have demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication to their craft, earning their places among the league's elite.

The 2024 MLS Best XI defense features a strong lineup, with Seattle Sounders' Yeimar Gomez Andrade joining Jordi Alba and Steven Moreira in the backline. This recognition marks the second selection for Yeimar, highlighting his consistency and excellence in the league.
