Chelsea player Marc Cucurella has spoken to the press ahead of the team's upcoming fixtures, reflecting on the team's recent performances and the challenges that lie ahead.

Cucurella acknowledged that Chelsea have come through tough times in the past, but emphasized the importance of staying focused and not relaxing. “We know how it was difficult after some moments in the past, we have come through tough times in this club, but now we are in a good way we need to keep going and not relax, because this league is very tough,” he said.

The Spanish defender also stressed the need for consistency, saying that Chelsea have the talent, but need to maintain their current level of performance. “We are in a good way, we need to be proud of ourselves and keep going and not relax, because we have the talent but we need the consistency to stay in these places,” he emphasized.

Cucurella also spoke about the team's squad depth and the manager's decisions regarding team selection. “The manager always decides who is in the team for the best way to plan the game, it doesn't matter who plays. I know it's difficult, I stayed two games on the bench before Arsenal, but this is part of the game. We know we have a lot of games, all the players believe we are important,” he said.

When asked about Chelsea's title aspirations, Cucurella was cautious, acknowledging that the team still has a long way to go. “For sure we are here to win titles, but I think right now we are a bit far from the top teams. They have worked together with the same manager and ideas for a long time. We started a few months ago this season. We want to compete with all of them for sure, but it's difficult, you can't change all that overnight,” he said.
