Bayer Leverkusen came from behind to thrash Heidenheim 5-2, with Patrik Schick scoring a hat-trick in the dominant win.



Patrik Schick's hat-trick propelled Bayer Leverkusen to a thrilling 5-2 comeback win over Heidenheim in the Bundesliga. Schick's impressive performance helped the team overcome a two-goal deficit.


Schick was given the starting nod after Victor Boniface was sidelined with a muscle injury. The Czech forward seized the opportunity, leading Leverkusen to their first win after a streak of three consecutive league draws.


Bayer Leverkusen currently occupy fourth place in the standings with 20 points. They trail leaders Bayern Munich by nine points and second-placed RB Leipzig by one point. Leverkusen's next challenge is a Champions League match against RB Salzburg on Tuesday.

Patrik Schick sealed his hat-trick in the 71st minute, heading in a precise cross from Arthur. Leverkusen's dominant performance was capped off by Granit Xhaka, who curled in their fifth goal from the edge of the box in the 82nd minute.
