Lagos: Cemetery Attendant, Accomplices Caught with Human Skulls, Investigation Transferred to State Department
A shocking incident unfolded in Lagos State's Agege Local Government Area on Sunday, where a cemetery worker and two accomplices were apprehended with five human skulls. The suspects were caught by local security operatives in the Murikaz area, and subsequently taken into custody at the Isokoko Police station.
According to eyewitness Isiaka Amosu, the cemetery attendant, Ismaila, was allegedly collaborating with the suspects to obtain body parts for illicit purposes. This disturbing revelation raises concerns about the potential involvement of insider individuals in such nefarious activities.
The police have confirmed the incident and vowed to track down other suspects still at large. A police officer, speaking anonymously, revealed that the case will be transferred to the State Investigation Department for further investigation.

“The suspects were apprehended by local security operatives in the community who noticed a suspicious bag placed on a fence at the back of the cemetery,” he said.
“They were curious about the bag and decided to see who might retrieve it. After a few minutes, they observed two men who came to pick up the bag.”
Amosu revealed that security personnel and nearby residents intercepted the suspects, requesting they unveil the contents of the bag.
“Initially, the suspects claimed the bag only contained leaves, but upon further insistence, they opened it, and found another bag containing five severed human heads inside,” he narrated.
“The suspects admitted to receiving assistance from the cemetery worker, who allegedly conspired with them for financial gain.”
The eyewitness further revealed that the cemetery worker had a prior incident six months ago, where police caught him with a human head, leading to his temporary departure from the community.
