Jonathan Oludare, 32, remanded in Lagos correctional facility for allegedly defiling 16-year-old girl, faces life imprisonment if convicted.

Jonathan Oludare, aged 32, was remanded in custody by an Ikeja Chief Magistrates' Court for allegedly defiling a minor.

Oludare, a resident of Ijora Badia, faced charges for allegedly defiling a minor. Chief Magistrate E. Kubeinje ordered his remand at a Lagos correctional facility without taking his plea. The case was adjourned until November 5, pending legal advice from the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions.

Prosecutor Inspector John Iberedem stated that Oludare committed the offense on September 8 at Isale Street, Ijora Badia, Lagos. He allegedly forcibly had sexual intercourse with the minor without consent.

According to Iberedem, this act contravenes Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, which carries a life imprisonment penalty for convicted offenders.
