Sustainable growth depends on agriculture, says Governor Bago
Governor of Niger State, Umaru Bago, has stated that transforming the narrative and bringing wealth to Niger State's citizens depends on investments in agriculture.
This was said by the governor during a banquet held to conclude celebrations marking the one-year anniversary of his government. hosted at Minna's Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Center.
Speaking at the Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre in Minna, he said as much. He went on to say that because agriculture is the state's strongest suit, his administration wants to guarantee both socioeconomic growth and food security.
The governor asked the populace to support his administration's agriculture program for a better quality of life, pointing out that the state has drawn several domestic and foreign agricultural investments.
He used the opportunity to affirm that his government will continue to fortify the state's government apparatus for the general welfare of the people while also acknowledging the synergy that now exists between the legislative, executive, and judicial branches.
The celebration featured gift-giving to the governor, the cutting of the anniversary cake, and musical performances by a variety of performers from within and outside the state.
