Herbert Wigwe, Wife, And Son Were Laid To Rest Following Week-Long Funeral Ceremonies


Herbert Wigwe is buried alongside his wife, Chizoba, and son, Chiz, in his hometown of Omueke, Isiokpo in Rivers State.



The late Access Holdings Plc CEO, his wife, and their son were buried in a private burial after a funeral mass at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lion of Judah Parish, Isiokpo.


The Christian wake was held in their honor before the funeral service on Saturday promptly started at 11:00 am. To offer their final respects to the trio, hundreds of friends, colleagues, and well-wishers from all over the world flocked to Isiokpo.


Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, business mogul Aliko Dangote, HRH Muhammadu Sanusi II, Governors Alex Otti and Dapo Abiodun, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, former Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State, and other prominent figures from business attended the service.


Governor of Rivers State Sim Fubara and State Commissioner of Police Olatunji Disu, who served as the burial ceremony's Chief Security Officer (CSO), were among the other dignitaries present.


Among many others, former Nigerian diplomat Dr. Godknows Igali and Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri attended the funeral.


Remember that in February, a helicopter carrying Wigwe and his family members perished in an accident close to a Californian border town.
