Dennis Idahosa has been selected by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to run for deputy governor in the Edo governorship on September 21.
An aide to Okpebholo, who verified the information, stated that Monday Okpebhalo, the party's flag bearer, and his running mate will be presented to President Bola Tinubu in the Villa on Monday by APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje and National Secretary Ajibola Bashiru.
Idahosa, a current member of the House of Representatives, was announced as Okpebholo's running mate on Sunday night, the source continued, following a protracted meeting between Edo stakeholders, the party leadership, and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The party's flag bearer, Okpebholo, former Edo Governor Adams Oshiomhole, and Idahosa, who lost the ticket to Okpebholo due to the problems surrounding the party's February 1 primary poll, which was eventually settled on February 21, 2024, were present at the conference.
