Delta killings: Slain soldiers Will Receive National Honors — President Tinubu
On Wednesday, President Bola Tinubu said that national honors would be given to the slain troops of Okuama, a community in Delta State's Ughelli South Local Government Area.
President Bola Tinubu disclosed this information on Wednesday in Abuja during the breaking of the Ramadan fast, accompanied by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and other members of the House leadership.
He underlined how crucial oversight is to maintaining accountability and openness in governance. But he issued a warning against calling in too many officials, pointing out that this could cause problems and make it more difficult to provide citizens with services.
Speaking to the gathered crowd, the Commander-in-Chief offered condolences to the families and military personnel who had lost loved ones, promising that the fallen soldiers would be given a respectable funeral.
