Corps Are Prohibited By NYSC From Sharing Camp Activities On Social Media
Members of the National Youth Service Corps have been cautioned by Brigadier General Yusha'u Ahmed, the Director-General, not to post details of their camp experiences on social media.
Ahmed stated that the moments they took during the three weeks of exercise could only be used by them
In a statement released on Sunday, the DG said that the warning was given to the corps members of the 2024 Batch A Stream 1 at the NYSC Ogun State Permanent Orientation Camp in Sagamu.
Also, he cautioned the corps members against making needless travels, especially unapproved ones, and emphasized the importance of prioritizing their safety above all else.
Ahmed told the corps members to “don't allow your service year to go idle without utilising it,” as he urged them to make the most of it. Not a single hour ought to be wasted. You have to keep doing things that will help you reach your objectives.
“You are not expected to post camp activities on social media, whatever is recorded should be for your personal consumption.
“You must also be wary of embarking on unnecessary and unauthorised journeys, take personal security seriously.”
In order to become wealth creators, Ahmed also counseled the corps members to enroll in the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Program.
According to him, the program offers interest-free loans and grants to Corps Members in partnership with a number of financial institutions, including the NNPC Foundation, Bank of Industry, Access Bank, Wema Bank, and others.
The State Coordinator, Olayinka Nasamu, stated earlier in her welcome speech that the participants had behaved well and adjusted to the structured lifestyle on camp.

The NYSC DG gave cash gifts and four cows to various corps member categories.
The Director of Special Duties, Mrs. Bona Fasakin, and the Director of the Press and Public Relations Unit, Mr. Edwin Megwa, were among the people in the DG's group.
All Nigerian graduates who are mobilized for national service are required to participate in the year-long NYSC program, which begins with a three-week orientation course.
