Nwabali receives a N20 million gift and state honors from Rivers State Governor Fubara
Rivers State Governor, Sim Fabura announced a N20 million reward for Nwabali said he will also be bestowed with the honour of Distinguished Service Star of Rivers State.
Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, stated on Friday that his administration will maintain efficient administration and purposeful governance because these are assisting the state's citizens in pursuing endeavors that are honorable.
Stanley Nwabali, the goalkeeper for the Super Eagles, who competed in the recently concluded 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, was hosted by Fubara, who gave a speech.
In addition to a N20 million reward, the governor of Rivers State said that Nwabali will receive the title of Distinguished Service Star.
Also Fubara gave the Super Eagles' team members present a gift of N30 million.
Fubara gave the Rivers Hoopers basketball team N50 million as a reward for winning the Louis Edem National League.
This was stated in a statement provided to journalists by Boniface Onyedi, the governor's media assistant.
According to Fubara, his main goal in exercising leadership was to foster an atmosphere that would inspire the people of Rivers State to continue doing the right thing and support his efforts to alter the perception of the state around the world.
The governor celebrated Nwabali, a native of Rivers, for his superb goalkeeping while playing with fellow countrymen in the recently concluded AFCON, which has brought honor to Nigeria.
