Katsina Residents Turn To Ox-driven Carts, Donkeys, Bicycles To Cut Fuel Hike

Amidst rising economic costs, occasioned by fuel subsidy removal, Katsina residents are resorting to ancient ways of transporting goods and services.

The exorbitant cost of transportation has forced some residents of Daura, Katsina State, to transport their goods using ox-drawn carts.

According to NAN, some park visitors observed locals utilizing the Ox-drawn carts to transport their belongings.

Some of the people who use these antiquated modes of transportation claimed that the removal of subsidies has made them more expensive than conventional options, forcing them to use them.

A few passengers on the Ox-drawn carts claimed that the increased number of low-income residents in the town is the reason their businesses are currently flourishing.
