Truck Destroys The Pedestrian Bridge In Lagos

The overhead bridge at Alapere estate got rammed by a truck and collapsed

A major traffic bottleneck occurred on Friday, due to the collapse of the well-known Alapere overhead bridge.

Early on Friday morning, the bridge was reported to have collapsed while a truck was transporting a container along the Ojota-Oworonsoki Highway.

According to reports, the container struck the bridge entirely on one side.

The construction had impacted traffic flow, leaving many people stranded as they traveled to work on the island.

But according to reports, the Lagos State Transport Management Agency's officials, under the direction of the governor's special adviser on transportation, Sola Giwa, worked tirelessly to clear the debris so that traffic could continue unhindered.
