The viral "Oga At The Top" remark's NSCDC officer was promoted to deputy CG
The 'Oga At The Top' comment made in 2013 by Shem Obafiaye, an officer in the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has gone up to deputy commandant-general.
When Obafiaye made an appearance as a guest on Channels Television, he was the Lagos commandant of the NSCDC and amusingly had trouble navigating the NSCDC website.
In 2023, Olubunmi Tunji-0jo, the Interior Minister, elevated him and two other individuals to the rank of deputy commandants general.
This was revealed by NSCDC in a statement on Thursday, December 14.
