Three New NUPRC Executive Commissioners Are Appointed By President Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu 

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of three (3) new Executive Commissioners to the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and the redeployment of one incumbent Executive Commissioner, though they still need to be confirmed by the Nigerian Senate.

Based on his thorough analysis of all sector-related factors, the President approves this reorganization and replacement with the goal of creating a regulatory framework and culture that completely discourages irresponsible behavior and rewards diligence and rule-based business practices throughout the sector.

1. Mr. Bashir Indabawa - NW - Executive Commissioner, Exploration & Acreage Management

2. Dr. Kelechi Ofoegbu - SE - Executive Commissioner, Corporate Services & Administration (Redeployed)

3. Mr. Enorense Amadasu SS-Executive Commissioner, Development & Production

4. Mr. Babajide Fasina - SW - Executive Commissioner, Economic Regulation & Strategic Planning.
