Wayne Rooney is offered £1.5 million to lead an English club

Wayne Rooney, a former striker for Manchester United, will make three times as much money as John Eustace, a former manager of Birmingham.

The English Championship team will offer Rooney £1.5 million a year, according to The Sun.

His weekly salary will be close to £29,000, which is more than three times Eustace's weekly salary of £9,000.

Despite the Blues currently holding the sixth spot in the standings, Eustace has been fired.

According to reports, Rooney has been given the position to help the team forge a new identity, one that would be characterized by a "clear no fear playing style that all Birmingham City teams will adopt and embrace."

Rooney is eager to go back to England and has already ended his contract with D.C. United.
