Twitter's New CEO, Linda Yaccarino, Introduced by Elon Musk
Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, has appointed Linda Yaccarino as the next CEO of the microblogging service.
Only a little over six months after his contentious purchase of the social media business, Elon Musk has selected the new CEO of Twitter. The billionaire said that the site's business operations would be managed by Linda Yaccarino, the former chief of advertising at NBCUniversal.
On Friday, he announced it on his verified Twitter account. Only a day earlier, he had revealed that he had appointed a new female CEO for the platform.
The new CEO will, according to Musk, "focus primarily on business operations."
He added that he will now be the platform's executive chairman and CTO and that he will be in charge of new technologies and product creation.
