Teenager Charged With Killing Her Newborn Baby

A teenager named Paris Mayo, who is accused of killing her newborn baby boy four years ago, has started her trial.

The baby Stanley was born to Mayo in March 2019 when she was 15 years old, according to NYbreaking on Thursday.

"The birth took place in the living room of the family home where Miss Mayo lived with her parents and brother George.

*She was alone and delivered the baby unassisted while her ailing father was upstairs receiving dialysis under the supervision of her mother.

"After delivery, the defendant attacked the baby on the top left and right sides of its head, causing severe brain damage.

"About two hours later, when she realised the baby was still alive, she put pieces of cotton wool in his mouth and neck.

The baby's body was put in a trash bag, and the girl directed her older brother to dispose of it, according to testimony given to the jury at the Worchester Crown Court in England during the trial.

Mayo, who is now 19 years old, asserted that the baby's murder was not her fault.

Jonas Hankin KC, the prosecutor, said: "The birth took place in the living room of the family home where Miss Mayo lived with her parents and brother George.

"She was alone and delivered the baby unassisted while her ailing father was upstairs receiving dialysis under the supervision of her mother.

"After delivery, the defendant attacked the baby on the top left and right sides of its head, causing severe brain damage.

"About two hours later, when she realised the baby was still alive, she put pieces of cotton wool in his mouth and neck.

"She put the baby's body in a garbage bag and put it on the curb before she went to bed."

Hankin said that the kid drowned after a piece of cotton wool blocked his oesophagus, according to an autopsy.

However, Mayo asserted that the infant was not breathing or moving after she gave birth and that she had to clean up "stuff" that had come out of his mouth with cotton wool.

The jury trial is anticipated to last six weeks.
