SERIE A: OSIMHEN WANTS TO TAKE HOME THE SERIE A TOP SCORER AWARD

Victor Osimhen, a forward for Napoli, is motivated to take home the Serie A scoring crown this year.

In Sunday night's 1-0 victory over Fiorentina at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona, Osimhen scored his 23rd league goal of the year.

The 24-year-old has four more goals than Lautaro Martinez of Inter Milan, who is his closest rival.

Since 2016, the leading scorer in Serie A has not come from a Scudetto-winning squad.

However, Osimhen is eager to lift the capocannoniere curse.

"I think the curse is about to be broken, we still have four games to go and I want to get as many goals as possible, while winning the games," he told DAZN.
