Cook-a-Thon: Hilda Baci's Record-Breaking 100-Hour Cooking Session [WATCH]

Hilda Effiong Bassey, a chef from Nigeria also known as Hilda Baci, set a record for the longest marathon cooking session with 100 hours on Monday.

Hilda had originally planned to finish at 4 p.m. on Monday, surpassing the previous record holder for the "longest cooking marathon by an individual" and reaching her previous 96-hour goal.

At the present, spectators at the cook-a-thon competition at the Amore Gardens in Lekki are sharing recordings of themselves applauding the young chef and congratulating her on reaching the milestone.

The chef from Lagos started the contest on Thursday after turning on her cooker at 4 o'clock, and she beat the previous world record holder on Monday morning.
