EPL: AUBAMEYANG REACTS AFTER AN ARSENAL FAN EXPRESSES SYMPATHY FOR HIM
Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has responded to a former Arsenal fan who expressed sympathy for him after other fans insulted him during the Premier League match at the Emirates on Tuesday night.
In the 3-1 defeat to his former club, Blues interim manager Frank Lampard elected to start Aubameyang.
Aubameyang was kicked out of the Arsenal first team when Mikel Arteta stripped him of the club captaincy and later permitted to join Barcelona.
The striker returned to London after six months in Spain, but has had a dreadful time at Stamford Bridge.
On his return to the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, Aubameyang, who scored over 90 goals for the north London club, was booed and viciously mocked online as he was replaced at half-time with Arsenal leading 3-0.
However, one Arsenal fan felt sorry for the 33-year-old, advising him on Twitter to always stay optimistic and mentioning some of the player's sacrifices for the club.
"Almost lost his mother, caught malaria, a toxic end at Arsenal, went to Barca and got his house robbed, now gone to Chelsea and not playing at all. Was made fun of at Stamford Bridge by our players and now booed by fans that he loved," the tweet stated.
