UCL: OSIMHEN STRUGGLED - SPALLETTI EXPLAINS WHY NAPOLI LOST TO AC MILAN

Luciano Spalletti, the manager of Napoli, has responded to his team's exit from the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The second leg of the semi-final contest concluded 1-1 at the Diego Maradona Stadium after the first leg ended 1-0 in favor of the home team at the San Siro.

The visitors took the lead immediately before the first half whistle, but Victor Osimhen had to wait until the 93rd minute to equalize, and there was no time for a comeback.

After the game, the manager told reporters that his team was foolish, and that their key attacker, Victor Osimhen, suffered since he couldn't have in-depth training with the group before the game.

Giroud had previously missed from the spot after Rafael Leao was taken down inside the box.

The AC Milan goalie also saved a penalty for Napoli.

"We were a little naive. Even Osimhen struggled, but he trained for three days, and when you're close to the game, you don't do training where you raise pressure-building and the open field raids.

"We arrived with some not trained at their best and some problems from the national teams.

"Milan won deservedly because they capitalised on the chances," the Italian said.
