EPL: "DON'T ALLOW THAT" ARSENE WENGER CONVEY A MESSAGE TO CHELSEA'S NEXT MANAGER
Former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has recommended Chelsea's next manager to include a clause in his contract which bans Todd Boehly and Co from 'interfering with the team.
According to reports in England, Boehly and his Blues co-owners are constantly present in Chelsea's dressing room.
Following their defeat to Brighton on Saturday, the American was alleged to have entered the dressing room and addressed the players, calling the club's current condition "embarrassing."
Inside Chelsea's dressing room, he was claimed to have singled out a veteran player for criticism.
Although Frank Lampard and Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti see nothing wrong with club owners visiting the locker room and addressing the players, Wenger is adamantly opposed to the idea.
The renowned Frenchman has stated that whomever succeeds Lampard as Blues manager must maintain a barrier between the club's ownership and the team.
"No, I wouldn't, that was always clear in my mind," Wenger said when asked if he would accept a club owner speaking in his own dressing room.
"I always put that in my contract. The advice I give to young coaches when they make contracts, I say make what is important for you, put that clearly in your contract that you are the only one, nobody can buy a player without your agreement.
"I don't believe in these kinds of things because if I'm paid to motivate the team, to manage the team, I do not want somebody else to do my job."
