CORONER DETERMINED AARON CARTER'S CAUSE OF DEATH
Xanax's generic name is alprazolam, and difluoroethane can be found in refrigerants and aerosol sprays. Carter died on November 5, 2014, at the age of 34.
According to a representative for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, they responded to a plea for help at Carter's Lancaster, California residence, where a deceased person was discovered in a bathtub.
Before releasing his debut studio album, "Aaron Carter," in 1997, the singer rose to prominence as a young child with pop songs such as "I Want Candy" and "Crush on You." "Love," his fifth and final studio album, was released in 2018.
Carter is also well-known for his parts in television productions, including "Lizzie McGuire" on the Disney Channel and "7th Heaven" on The WB Television Network. He appeared on his family's reality show, "House of Carters," which aired on E! Entertainment Television.
Carter leaves behind his one-year-old son, Prince, whom he had with his partner Melanie Martin.
