GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION: WE ARE NOT FORMING ALLIANCE WITH LABOUR PARTY - PDP LAGOS STATE
The PDP tells lagosians that we are not talking to the Labour Party
The Labour Party's Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour was rumored to be in talks with Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor), the PDP's nominee for governor in Lagos State, according to social media sources.
Rhodes-Vivour, the LP candidate, reportedly stated that he is in discussions with "the real owners of PDP structure in Lagos State" for that reason.
But, Hakeem Amode, the PDP's publicity secretary in the state, claimed in a statement released on Monday that the party is not in talks with any political party.
The PDP governorship candidate, who doubles as the head of the media and publicity team for the Jandor Funke 2023 Campaign Council, stressed that he has no intention of resigning in favor of any other candidate from any political party.
He stated that the PDP is an official democratic party and that only the party's state leadership may be referred to as the PDP's custodian.
