NAIRA CRISIS: IN IDI ARABA, ANGRY BANK CLIENTS SET AN ATM ON FIRE

On Wednesday morning, a few upset bank customers. When an ATM ran out of money, someone decided to set it on fire.

On Wednesday morning, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the Lagos State Police, confirmed the news on Twitter using the verified handle @BenHundeyin.

The fire has been extinguished, according to Hundeyin, who didn't name the impacted bank, and banking operations have resumed there.

Recall that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBNcurrent )'s Naira redesign policy, which saw the old N500 and N1000 notes cease being legal tender, sparked protests in several regions of the nation.
