It was a 10-game night across the NHL packed with comebacks, blowouts, and late drama. Carolina stormed back to win its sixth straight, St. Louis erupted for seven goals in Ottawa, Winnipeg and Vegas kept rolling, Chicago upset Pittsburgh behind a pair of two-goal nights, and Utah survived a frantic final minute to edge Toronto 5-4.

Florida hit a season-high seven goals powered by a nine-point night from the Tkachuk brothers...

The fourth annual NHL Frozen Frenzy, featuring all 32 teams across a 16-game slate, delivered plenty of highlights throughout Tuesday's action.

Devils Edge Red Wings 5-4 in OT

Jack Hughes delivered the overtime winner on a breakaway and finished as one of three players with three points on the night, alongside Jesper Bratt and Alex DeBrincat. The goal was his second of the season.

DeBrincat scored twice for Detroit to lift his season total to four, including the game-tying goal at 4-4 in the third period to force overtime. Teammate John Gibson also topped 30 saves for the first time this season with 32.

The result moved New Jersey to 3-3, with two of those wins coming in overtime. Detroit dropped to 1-3-2.

Panthers Rout Blue Jackets 7-3 Behind Historic Night From Tkachuk Brothers

Florida hit a season-high seven goals powered by a nine-point night from the Tkachuk brothers. Brady Tkachuk recorded his first career natural hat trick and fourth overall, adding an assist, while Matthew Tkachuk tied the franchise single-game assist record with five, matching Aleksander Barkov in 2019 and Anton Lundell in 2022.

It marked the first natural hat trick in NHL history where all three goals were assisted by the scorer's brother.

Carter Verhaeghe and Sam Reinhart each added two goals for Florida. The seven-goal outburst topped their combined total from the previous three games (6) and more than doubled the total from their other two wins this season (3).

Florida improved to 3-2-2, while Columbus fell to 2-3.

Canadiens Outlast Sabres 4-3 in Shootout

Olen Zellweger scored twice for Buffalo, including a third-period equalizer to force overtime, but Alexandre Texier delivered the deciding goal in the shootout for Montreal.

Montreal dominated the shots 38-17 to improve to 3-2-1, winning back-to-back games in shootouts. Buffalo dropped to 3-3-1.

Hurricanes Rally Past Capitals 4-2 for Sixth Straight Win

Washington led 2-1 heading into the third period, but Carolina struck for three goals in the final frame to secure its sixth consecutive victory after dropping the first two games of the season. The Hurricanes improved to 6-2, while the Capitals fell to 3-3.

Philadelphia answered in the third with goals from Christian Dvorak, his second, and Trevor Zegras, his first, to force overtime. McMann then sealed it for Seattle with the shootout winner.

Philly stayed as the only winless team in the Eastern Conference, falling to 0-5-3 and extending the worst start in franchise history, while Seattle improved to 5-2.

Rangers Top Lightning 4-1 Behind Lafreniere's Early Brace

Alexis Lafreniere struck within the opening minute and added a second later in the first period to give New York a quick 2-0 advantage.

Ottawa, now 5-2, has allowed at least five goals in both of its losses this season, while failing to score more than four in any of its wins. The Blues improved to 3-2-1.

Islanders Edge Canucks 3-2

Vancouver failed to convert on a 4-on-4 to close out the game. Kyle Palmieri netted his first two goals of the season, including the go-ahead tally in the third, as the Islanders improved to 3-3.

New York has yet to put together a winning or losing streak this season. The Islanders' 38 shots on goal marked a season high.

Jets Rally Past Wild 5-2

Both teams traded two goals in the opening period, with Kirill Kaprizov accounting for both of Minnesota's tallies on the night.

Cole Perfetti broke the tie with his second goal of the game in the second period, before Kyle Connor, his seventh, and Cole Koepke, his first, sealed it in the third.

Winnipeg improved to 4-1-1 to start the season without Connor Hellebuyck, while Minnesota dropped to 4-2-1.
