MLB Recap: Brewers vs Dodgers Game 3 Highlights, Recap and Box Score | NLCS
| Brewers stay alive |
Facing elimination and down 2-1 after a blown lead in the sixth, the Milwaukee Brewers refused to fold. Behind Robert Gasser's five shutout innings, a go-ahead blast from unlikely hero Jake Bauers, and back-to-back homers in the seventh, Milwaukee rallied to beat the Dodgers 6-2 in Los Angeles and force a Game 4.
Brewers 6, Dodgers 2 - Milwaukee forces game 4...
The Milwaukee Brewers are now one win away from sweeping the Los Angeles Dodgers after beating them 6-2 in Game 3 of the National League Championship Series on Wednesday.
Only one team in MLB postseason history has rallied from a 3-0 deficit in a Championship Series, the 2004 Boston Red Sox. The Dodgers are down 3-0 in a postseason series for the first time since the 1966 World Series against the Baltimore Orioles, when they were swept.
As for the Brewers, they have a chance to join the 1995 Atlanta Braves and the 2019 Washington Nationals as the only NL teams since the best-of-seven format was introduced in 1985 to sweep the NLCS and go on to win the World Series.
With a 3-0 series lead, the Brewers are now one win away from completely flipping the script on a Dodgers team that swept them in last year's NLCS. They could become the first team ever to be swept by a team in one postseason and then sweep that same team the very next year.

How Game 3 Unfolded
Jackson Chourio wasted no time, launching a solo home run on the very first pitch of the game.
He moved past Hall of Famer Andruw Jones for the most RBI (18) in the postseason before turning 23. Remarkably, Chourio did it in just 19 games, while Jones needed 45.
Chourio now needs three more leadoff home runs to claim the record for most in postseason history, sitting behind Philadelphia Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber (5). He is currently tied with Shohei Ohtani, Derek Jeter and Jimmy Rollins at three.
He also became the first player in league history to hit six postseason home runs before his 23rd birthday.
But Snell quickly settled in, striking out the next three batters and six total through the first three innings.
He also escaped a jam in the second inning after putting runners on first and second with one out, getting Luis Lara to pop out before striking out Joey Ortiz.

In the bottom half, Lara came up with the play of the game, charging in to make a sliding catch that retired Freddie Freeman for the second out.
Though not a Gold Glove finalist in the majors this season, Lara earned a MiLB Gold Glove last year while with the Biloxi Shuckers, Milwaukee's Double-A affiliate.

Brewers starter Robert Gasser was outstanding in Game 3, allowing just three hits all singles over five shutout innings, with one walk and three strikeouts.
Across his two postseason appearances against the Dodgers, Gasser has now thrown 5.2 innings, giving up just one run on four hits with two walks and five strikeouts.
He was done in Game 3 after just 72 pitches, a decision manager Pat Murphy immediately regretted.
Abner Uribe ran into trouble as soon as he took over. He walked Teoscar Hernandez on five pitches, then walked Kyle Tucker on four.
He struck out Max Muncy, but then walked Ohtani to load the bases with one out. Will Smith followed with a two-run double to deep left field to make it 2-1, with Ohtani advancing to third.
DL Hall came in for Uribe and limited the damage, striking out both Enrique Hernandez and Tommy Edman to end the sixth.
Thanks to him, the Brewers had a chance to reclaim the lead and they did.
In the top of the seventh, Snell walked Andrew Vaughn on seven pitches to start the inning. Then, after an 11-pitch battle, Jake Bauers continued his incredible story by taking Snell deep to make it 3-2.
Bauers, who thought his MLB career was over, signed a minor-league deal with the Brewers last year for health insurance after his wife, Lauren, became pregnant with their second child. He played part-time for Milwaukee in 2025 before breaking out this season.
He had never hit more than 12 home runs in a season. This year, he hit 26 and just delivered what might be the biggest at-bat of his life.
Two pitches later, Garrett Mitchell also took Snell deep to push the Brewers' lead to 4-2. It was the second time this postseason Milwaukee has hit three home runs in a game, after Game 2 of the NLDS against the Chicago Cubs, and the third back-to-back homer in Brewers postseason history.
Snell's night was over right after that. He finished with four earned runs on four hits, two walks and nine strikeouts over six innings on 101 pitches, 63 for strikes.
The veteran left-hander hadn't given up a single home run all postseason before Game 3.
Evan Phillips closed out the top of the seventh, before Hall threw a 1-2-3 bottom half for the Brewers.
The Dodgers' pitching mistakes continued. Roki Sasaki entered for Phillips and gave up one-out singles to Brice Turang and William Contreras, with Contreras moving Turang to third.
Manager Dave Roberts then brought in Justin Wrobleski, who immediately threw a wild pitch that allowed Turang to score from third to make it 5-2.

Wrobleski recovered from his mistake to strike out both Christian Yelich and Bauers. From there, it was smooth sailing for Milwaukee.
Trevor Megill took over for Hall in the bottom of the eighth after Hall allowed a two-out single to Ohtani, and got Smith to fly out.
Ortiz then singled off Wrobleski to bring home Cooper Pratt from second and make it 6-2.

Milwaukee scored at least one run in each of the final three innings and finished Game 3 with nine hits. Every Brewers starter except Lara reached base at some point in the game.

Megill shut the door with a 1-2-3 bottom of the ninth.
