PSV Stunned By ADO Den Haag As Last-Gasp Winner Downs 10-Man Champions...
ADO Den Haag claimed a sensational first win of their Eredivisie season, beating reigning champions PSV 2-1 at home after a last-gasp winner from Matej Sin.
PSV manager Peter Bosz had to do without star forward Ruben van Bommel, who was deemed too unfit to feature against ADO Den Haag. Youngster Ayoni Santos was handed his first PSV start in place of the recent Oranje debutant, with Dennis Man on the right and Sven Mijnans continuing as the de facto striker in the absence of Ricardo Pepi and Alassane Plea.
A rather quiet opening spell was broken by Mijnans, who timed his run to perfection and slotted Guus Til's cut-back into the far corner of Kilian Nikièma's goal to put PSV ahead after 20 minutes.
But disaster struck for PSV in the final 20 minutes of the first half. Guus Til was forced off after an awkward landing, before Mijnans went from hero to zero when he picked up two yellow cards in the space of five minutes first for shirt-pulling and then for a reckless tackle on the edge of the ADO box.
Playing against 10 men opened up opportunities for the promoted hosts, and the The Hague side drew level just 10 minutes into the second half through Juho Kilo, whose long-range effort deflected into Kovar's bottom corner.
PSV focused on keeping ADO Den Haag at bay but still threatened despite being a man down, with Amir Bouhamdi coming within inches of restoring the champions' lead after his effort struck the crossbar.
ADO Den Haag struggled to find a way through PSV's disciplined backline, and PSV thought they had found a breakthrough again in the final 10 minutes, but Mikkel Bro Hansen's shot ended up straight in the hands of Nikièma.

The closing stages produced chances at both ends. Sergiño Dest's curled effort sailed just over the ADO goal, while Evan Rottier saw two efforts go narrowly past the post.
