Conflict of interest found in Andreas Cornelius Disciplinary Case. FC Copenhagen's Cornelius still suspended despite DBU error...
The Danish FA has admitted to procedural errors in the case that saw FC Copenhagen striker Andreas Cornelius suspended for dissent.
According to the DBU, two members of the Football Disciplinary Body were conflicted and should have recused themselves from the case.
The admission was made in a statement published on the association's website.
While acknowledging the “administrative error,” the DBU said it had no bearing on the final decision, meaning Cornelius' suspension will stand.
“Two of the six members who took part in the decision Lars W. Knudsen and Teddy Pedersen should not have participated, as they are active within Sonderjyske Fodbold and Randers FC, respectively, and the case has sporting implications for the Superliga,” the DBU wrote.
#fcklive F.C.

Despite that, the Danish FA says the mistake did not change the outcome, noting the decision was made by a 4-2 majority.
That is because both members who should have been excluded voted against the suspension, meaning the result would have been 4-0 without them.
