The Allsvenskan title race is still a three-horse race after leaders Sirius dropped points at home to Elfsborg, while Hammarby did just enough to beat strugglers Halmstad. Orgryte did their survival hopes no harm by winning a Gothenburg derby against GAIS.
Sirius 2-2 Elfsborg
With Elfsborg beating second-placed Djurgarden as part of a three-game winning run, this match was always going to be a test for Sirius, whose lead at the top had been cut to seven points the day before by Djurgarden beating Brommapojkarna.
And so it proved, as Elfsborg had already had the better chances when they took the lead after 20 minutes, as Julius Beck swept Ari Sigurpalsson's cutback in off the post from the edge of the area.
And 1-0 was how it stayed until 20 minutes left, when Marcus Lindberg drilled in a low cross from the right and Joakim Persson emerged from the crowd to turn it home. Three minutes later, the same duo had Sirius in front, as Lindberg played a through pass to Persson, who got past his man and leathered the ball high into the net from a tight angle.
But three minutes from time, the visitors drew level, as Nicklas Hult sent a low ball to Leo Ostman at the near post, and he shaped his body well to turn the ball past the goalkeeper. That goal ended Sirius' four-game winning run, as their lead was cut from 10 to eight points across the weekend....
Hammarby Snatch Late Winner At Halmstad
Hammarby kept their title hopes alive with a hard-fought win at bottom side Halmstad, moving to within nine points of leaders Sirius after bouncing back from their derby defeat to Djurgarden.
It took until the first minute of added time for the breakthrough to come. Nahir Besara tried his luck from distance, goalkeeper Tim Ronning failed to hold his effort, and Noah Persson was on hand to tuck away the rebound for his third goal of the season.
The late loss leaves Halmstad still six points adrift of safety after back-to-back defeats.
Hacken extend strong run at Malmo's expense
Although Elfsborg earned a point against the leaders, victories for Hammarby and Hacken saw them slip to fifth and fall further behind in the battle for European places.
Hacken made it three straight league wins and five games unbeaten as fourth-placed Hacken continued their surge. Adrian Svanback was the match-winner, heading home Mikkel Rygaard's corner early in the second half.
Defeat leaves Malmo down in seventh after losing two of their last three matches.

Vasteras Pile Pressure On Champions Mjallby
Vasteras responded to their recent defeat in style, climbing above Malmo into sixth and piling more pressure on reigning champions Mjallby.
The decisive moment came in the 20th minute when the hosts carved open the Mjallby defence, with Axel Taonsa keeping his composure to slot home into the bottom corner.
Mjallby remain 12th, four points from safety, but they will be watching Monday night's clash between Degerfors and Kalmar - the two sides directly beneath them - closely.

Orgryte Win Thriller To Boost Survival Bid
Orgryte gave their survival hopes a major boost with a first victory in nine games, overcoming rivals GAIS in the Gothenburg derby to inflict a third defeat in four on the Mackerels.
OIS took the lead through Liam Andersson, who headed home Benjamin Laturnus' cross, but GAIS hit back before half-time as Anes Cardaklija nodded in Robin Wendin Thomasson's corner.
The visitors turned it around early in the second half when Wendin Thomasson found space and rifled a stunning effort into the top corner from 25 yards. Their lead didn't last long though, with Owen Parker-Price brought down in the box on the hour mark and Tobias Sana coolly converting from the spot.

The game was decided in the last 20 minutes, as Orgryte struck twice in four minutes to claim their first league victory since August 2nd. Michael Parker did well to hold off his man and pick out Viktor Ekblom with a low cross for the equaliser, before Parker-Price slipped Ekblom in behind and he calmly rounded the keeper to grab his second.
The result leaves Orgryte still in 15th, but now just two points from outright safety, even if Monday's meeting between Degerfors and Kalmar can't really go in their favour. GAIS, meanwhile, stay 10th.
