Luis Enrique isn’t bothered by PSG’s late venue change for Sunday’s Ligue 1 opener, but the reason behind it is. The state of the Parc des Princes pitch has the PSG boss worried.
After France recorded its hottest July on record, the Parc des Princes turf suffered heatwave damage. As a result, the champions have been forced to move this weekend’s fixture to Roazhon Park, home of opponents Stade Rennais.

“We’ve been training as usual... but playing in Rennes is different; we have to adapt... these are things I can’t control, so we have to see it as a challenge,” Enrique told reporters on Saturday.
The PSG boss confessed he is worried about the condition of the Parc des Princes surface.
“We like to play attacking, entertaining football, for which you need a pitch in the best possible condition, which isn’t the case at the moment,” he said.
