World Cup 2026: Sweden start Isak & Gyokeres together vs Tunisia in Monterrey...
Sweden start with Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyokeres up front for their 2026 World Cup opener vs Tunisia in Monterrey, 4:00 CEST. Albert Gudmundsson is fit and starts too.
Graham Potter has picked the same two-striker system that debuted under him when Sweden beat Greece in a warm-up earlier this month.
Potter made two changes from the 2-2 draw with Greece. Victor Lindelof returns and captains the side, while Jesper Karlstrom comes into midfield. Daniel Svensson and Mattias Svanberg drop to the bench.
Kristoffer Nordfeldt stays in goal. Gabriel Gudmundsson is fit enough to start at wing-back in the back five despite missing several training sessions last week through illness.
The Netherlands’ 2-2 draw with Japan earlier means top spot in Group F is open. This is Sweden’s first World Cup game since 2018.
