Too many men, 3 minors cost Skelleftea as Rogle win Game 3 2-1 in OT. Josh Dickinson, Karson Kuhlman assist Olofsson PP goal...

The fight for the Le Mat Trophy in the SHL playoff finals is alive again after Rögle beat Skelleftea 2-1 in overtime, trimming their series deficit to 2-1.

Top-seeded Skelleftea looked dominant in the first two games of the 2026 finals at home, winning 4-1 and 5-1, but Rogle did just enough to get on the board back in Angelholm.

Skelleftea gave them plenty of chances in the first period, with Pontus Johansson and Max Krogdahl each serving two-minute penalties before the visitors were called for too many men on the ice. Rögle failed to convert any of the power plays.

The hosts outshot Skelleftea by six in the first period and did the same in the second as the visitors’ discipline problems continued. Johansson took a second penalty before SkellefteÃ¥ were again penalized for too many men on the ice.

Finally, nearly 16 minutes into the second period, Rogle capitalized on a power play. Josh Dickinson and Karson Kuhlman combined to set up Fredrik Olofsson, who took his time before finishing for his fourth goal of the postseason.

But in the third period, SAIK cleaned up their discipline and it paid off with 10 minutes left. A pass forward from Johansson found Victor Stjernborg in space on the left. He cut inside and finished well to force overtime.

It took just over six minutes of overtime, but RBK made sure all three games in the series so far went to the home team. Linus Sandin used his speed down the right before squaring the puck for Anton Bengtsson to finish and seal a 2-1 win.

Competing in their third SHL final and second against Skelleftea, Rogle are now one win from their best-ever finish after losing 4-1 in both previous finals. They can level the series at home again on Thursday the 30th.
