Cristiano Ronaldo played through illness and vomited after Al Nassr’s 1-0 win over Al Ettifaq, their 15th straight Saudi Pro League victory, coach Jorge Jesus revealed. The 41-year-old has 24 goals as Al Nassr sit eight points clear before his record sixth World Cup in June.

Cristiano Ronaldo played through illness and vomited after league leaders Al Nassr secured a 15th consecutive Saudi Pro League win by beating Al Ettifaq 1-0, coach Jorge Jesus revealed.




The 41-year-old forward, who is set to feature in a record sixth World Cup in June, was taken off in the 89th minute of Wednesday’s match.


“I was thinking of not including ⁠him, he wasn't in good shape,” Jesus said. “He was suffering from stomach pains ‌and a general feeling of fatigue. When I substituted him, he went straight to the dressing room and threw up.”

  
With 24 goals from Ronaldo, Al Nassr are on their longest winning streak in Saudi top-flight history and lead the table by eight points.
