Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja for Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, to attend the 2024 International Exhibition of Extractive and Energy Resources conference.
Vice President Kashim Shettima departed Abuja for Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, on Wednesday, November 27, to attend the opening ceremony of the 2024 International Exhibition of Extractive and Energy Resources conference ¹. This prestigious event, scheduled to take place from November 27 to December 2 at the Abidjan Exhibition Centre, brings together global stakeholders in the energy and extractive industries.
According to Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Communication, Shettima is attending the conference at the invitation of Côte d'Ivoire's Vice President, Tiémoko Meyliet Koné. During the event, Vice President Shettima will share Nigeria's insights and experiences in the hydrocarbon exploration and production sectors.
The statement is titled “VP Shettima Leaves For Abidjan, To Attend SIREXE 2024 Opening Ceremony.”
“The SIREXE conference is a global event hosted by the Government of Côte d'Ivoire, centered on the theme, "Policies and Strategies for the Sustainable Development of the Extractive and Energy Industries.”
“The VP will utilize the event to share Nigeria's experience in the hydrocarbon exploration and production sectors,” said Nkwocha.
Vice President Shettima is scheduled to return to Abuja later today, following his attendance at the conference.
