FIFA And NFF Open A $1.19 Million Mini Stadium In The State Of Kebbi

The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) and the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) have opened a $1.19 million mini stadium in Kebbi.
The facility, on Kalgo Road in Birnin, Kebbi, the state capital, was officially opened by Kebbi Governor Nasir Idris, NAN reports. The mini stadium's foundation was laid in September 2020 by the former state governor, Atiku Bagudu.
FIFA is funding the project as part of its “Forward Programme, which aims at providing more comprehensive funding and support for football development projects across the world.”
“We are going to do more to increase the facilities for the stadium to be of standard than its now, Gusau said.
“We are not going to let the youth down and I urge them to come back to help others that are coming up if they have the opportunities outside the country.”
Also, a second miniature stadium in Ugborodo, Delta State, is funded by the FIFA Forward program.
