Celine Dion Has 'Lost Control Over Her Muscles' — sister
Celine Dion no longer has control over her muscles after battling Stiff-Person Syndrome says sister
The body attacks its own nerve cells as a result of Celine's progressive and incurable condition, which significantly impairs mobility.
The legendary Canadian vocalist Celine Dion's elder sister Claudette claims that her sister no longer has “control over her muscles.”
This occurs one year after the 'My Heart Will Go On' hitmaker had to postpone her global tour. Following her battle with a neurological disorder known as stiff-person syndrome, Celine, 55, may take a while to return to the stage, according to her sister Claudette, as reported by Daily Mail.
“She's always worked hard. Our mother always told her, You're going to do it well, you're going to do it properly. She continued: 'It's true that in both our dreams and hers, the goal is to return to the stage. In what capacity? I don't know.”
Although there is still much to learn about the condition, progress has been sluggish due to its rarity. Claudette also mentioned: “The vocal cords are muscles, and the heart is also a muscle. This is what comes to get me. Because it's 1 out of a million case, the scientists haven't done that much research because it didn't affect that many people.”
Recall that months prior, Claudette disclosed that her sister's health has not improved much even though she is working with the best researchers in the field.
According to her statement to Le Journal de Montréal: “We can't find any medicine that works, but having hope is important.”
