Actor Sylvester Madu Narrowly Escapes Death In Cameroun

Actor Sylvester Madu was allegedly detained in Cameroon following a shootout that left four people dead

Actor Sylvester Madu of Nollywood is allegedly being held captive by authorities in Bamenda, Cameroon.

On Saturday, November 23, 2023, four persons were fatally shot in a beer parlor; the actor was taken into custody along with the other four individuals.

Rumor had it that at around 10 o'clock on Saturday night, Madu and a few others were hanging out in the lounge when some unknown gunmen broke in.

Four people lost their lives in the incident, while over ten more suffered critical injuries.

Several stories state that although the actor was saved by military forces, he was arrested when he demanded the release of the four other rescued citizens.

“He is currently in detention and has been sent to court. He refused to leave the four civilians that were also rescued behind. He came to Cameroon to shoot a movie,” a source said.
