WORKERS DAY: TINUBU PROMISES GREATER PAY, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC FAIRNESS TO NIGERIAN WORKERS
Bola Tinubu, the President-elect, has promised all Nigerian employees a good minimum wage as well as social and economic justice when his administration takes office.
This was expressed by the former Lagos governor on Monday in Abuja in a solidarity message to Nigerians in commemoration of the 2023 International Workers' Day, popularly known as May Day.
Tinubu also assured the workers that he would be a reliable ally and co-laborer in the battle for social and economic justice for all Nigerians.
"On this special day, as your President- elect, I extend my hand of friendship to the Nigerian workers through the two central Labour unions - Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress(TUC).
"In me, you will find a dependable ally and co-labourer in the fight for social and economic justice for all citizens, which would include all the working people. Your fight will be my fight because I will always fight for you," Tinubu said.
