UCL: Ancelotti Discusses The Real Madrid Injury Setback Before The Manchester City Game
Eduardo Camavinga's knee was twisted, according to Carlo Ancelotti, manager of Real Madrid, during the team's 5-0 victory over Getafe on Saturday.
Eight changes were made by Ancelotti from the starting lineup that tied Manchester City 1-1 in the first leg in Madrid.
However, Camavinga, who started the La Liga match against the Premier League champions, hobbled off the field in the dying seconds.
Prior to the second leg of their Champions League semi-final on Wednesday at the Etihad, Ancelotti has allayed concerns over his fitness.
"He twisted his knee, but it's just a knock," Ancelotti said.
"Tomorrow he'll rest like everyone who played and I hope that on Monday he trains with the team.
"He'll recover soon for sure. The knee is stable, he has some discomfort now but the important thing is the stability and he has that 100%. He has some discomfort in the knee but it's nothing."
