INEC REPORTS THAT THE LABOUR PARTY WON 14 OF THE 24 ENUGU ASSEMBLY SEATS
The Labour Party, LP, was elected to 14 of the 24 constituency seats in the Enugu State House of Assembly.
The confirmation came from the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, on Tuesday.
The LP won 14 seats in the March 18 state elections, according to the umpire's list of members-elect.
The ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, will hold the remaining ten seats in the 10th House, which will be inaugurated in June.
Rex Achumie, INEC's Head of Voter Education and Publicity in Enugu, provided the names, constituencies, parties, and number of votes cast.
Achumie cautioned the public to disregard any unofficial list shared on social media.
